Laura dreams the dream of living like a craft-star pop diva. Striving to become an artisan whose art is the "day job." Knowing that in an alternate dimension this is the case, she does the behind the scenes work in this reality to create the cool items, that score her diva status over there, in that alternative place.

Intimidated
I have a sample pack of glass clay (yes you heard the right glass clay), and a sample pack of Hadar's metal clays.
Both have been in their respective packages for over a year at this point, waiting for me to reconstitute them and make something amazing.
I know what I want to do, but I am intimidated as $%^&*(. Seriously, a cuss word was needed, thats how bad it is.
I guess after I get over my fear of cleaning off my desk, I need to venture forth and use these products.
I've never even heard of glass clay! I suppose it's like a thick enamel effect?
ReplyDeleteBut I'm in the same boat as you are with Hadar's sampler pack. I just can't seem to jump in and try it. And I've had it at least a year too.
If I could only find a shop that sells spare time...
You and me both!
ReplyDeleteIf you find that shop please, I would like to give them my business!
The glass clay, from what I can tell gives you a solid translucent/ murky piece of formed glass.
Its not used with the metal clay. But I bet with some experimenting I could find out if it does do that....
hmmm something to try out I guess
