Ooh book marks.

New book marks

About a week ago a polymer clay page on facebook (the Polymer Arts) posted this image of a devise for helping you hold open your book one handed.

Along with the image was the comment of how this would be a good thing to try in polymer, so I did.

I found out these are being made in plastic, and wood, and all kinds of ways. So instead of trying out as just another thing to be lost, I decided to make it into a book mark.

So far feed back has been positive, and I will have a new product for bibliophiles in my etsy shop tomorrow!

Crayon time

For the past 8 years my kids and I have made special valentine's heart shaped crayons. We decided years ago that kids at school did not need any more candy, and my kids wanted to do something special for their friends. And so a mini tradition was started.

Its our last year in elementary school, so this might be our last year for crayons. Its been a great way of keeping our crayon population under control.

This year we made 48 crayons. Enough for me to even have a few to pass out.

Kiddo's favorite crayons of this year. Especially the candy corn colored one.

These are my favorite for the year, I love the subtle color shifts.

Been trying to recreate the perfect rainbow crayon since that happy accident  a few years back. http://zoeowyn.blogspot.com/2012/02/img4923jpg.html

Oops, mea culpa

I signed up to play on a blog hop, then I lost it. I lost ALL the information I needed to participate. The name of the blogger who originated it, the name of the blog hop. And I could not find it.
I asked everyone I knew on Facebook, and they had some great suggestions but non of them from the right hop.

I did get a few visits from the hop, and a few comments.
But I need to apologize, I had no intensions of signing up and not playing, I just got lost.

Lesson learned: Next time I do that, sit down and write the blog right then, and put a time schedule on it!
